Wet-Off-Saw Timber

WOS Timber Planks

Voted Most Affordable Timber Supplier.

Multi-Purpose Timber for Every Project

The affordability of Wet of Saw (WOS) Timber makes it one of our most popular ranges at Log Home Timber, Pretoria, Gauteng. WOS Timber Planks are un-dries and ungraded timber sawn and supplied to order with the strength to support a residential frame construction but soft enough to make it malleable and easy to work with, it’s no wonder WOS is in demand. Available in a range of different grades and lengths, WOS Timber is mostly used for Log cabins, Wendy houses, flooring, decks, benches, wooden boxes and much more.

The WOS range is a versatile timber that is more affordable than dry timber. WOS timber planks do not split when nails are put into it and is also ideally used in the informal structure industry. It serves as a good base for timber frames – commonly referred to as beams in the industry.

Custom Lengths, Practical Uses – All with WOS Timber

WOS Timber planks are most commonly used in louvre-style housing. The timber is split into 2 to make it a very affordable building style that is both aesthetically pleasing and practical as one timber piece is overlapped on another allowing water to run off the structure when it rains.

The WOS is available in A-and B grades in lengths of 1m, 1.2m, 2,1m, 2,4m, 3m and 3,6m. This timber is also popular with the informal building industry for construction of toolsheds and JoJo Huts, fencing, DIY projects and the cladding of Wendy houses. Normally moist to the touch, WOS B Grade planks are cut from the outer edge of the pine log and could have some bark on them. Once installed, WOS timber planks can be treated against fungi and weather conditions.

Advantages to using WOS Timber in construction include it being a renewable resource and easy to work with.
